KafkaCare uses fillers; Juvederm, Voluma, Radiesse, Restylane, and Belotero, to address signs of aging and to enhance appearances as part of its cosmetic dermatology practice at its Upper West Side (NYC) office. Fillers are used for filling in fine lines, eliminating deep wrinkles, making lips fuller, and enhancing facial shape.
Since multiple products are available, Dr. Kafka will discuss with you all available treatment options and determine the most appropriate treatment for your individual needs, to achieve the best cosmetic results. No sedation or anesthesia is required since the products are already pre-mixed with local anesthetics. Discomfort is usually minimal; swelling and bruising may occur but they may be easily covered with makeup. The duration of the effect of treatment will vary depending on the product used
FINE LINE & CONTOURING FILLERS
Fine line and contouring fillers are used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Fillers work by providing hydration and structure. They replace natural collagen, your skin’s building block, which begins to deteriorate with age. Fillers all are based on a hyaluronic acid gel that closely resembles the body’s own hyaluronic acid. They are long lasting, but not permanent because their active ingredients will gradually be reabsorbed by the body.
Volumizing fillers are used to plump areas such as deep wrinkles or facial depressions. KafkaCare uses Radiesse® and also Juvéderm Voluma®. Radiesse® is a thick gel composed of a mineral-like substance found in human bones called called calcium hydroxylapatite. Calcium hydroxylapatite is biosynthetically produced, which means that no animals or animal products are used. It is known to produce a very natural result, doesn’t migrate and side effects are rare. Voluma® XC is a hyaluronic acid based gel that is the first and only FDA-approved injectable gel to instantly add volume to your cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over the age of 21. It can provide you contour and a subtle lift for up to two years with optimal treatment.
